What is your planning style, and how hands-on are you?
Some planners are visionaries who lead the design conversation; others are logistics experts who execute your vision flawlessly. Neither is wrong — but you need to know which one you are hiring. Ask how they describe their role on event day, and whether they will be physically present from setup through the final send-off or hand off to an assistant. A great planner will answer this question with specifics, not generalities.

How many events do you take on per weekend, and who will be on-site with me?
A planner who books three weddings on the same Saturday cannot give any of them full attention. Ask directly: how many events do you accept per weekend? Who will be my lead contact on the day itself? Will you personally be there, or will it be a coordinator from your team?
